Although Yemen is not far from the equator, which is characterized by intense heat and heavy monsoon rains, Sana'a Governorate has deviated from the climatic base by virtue of its height above sea level. Therefore, its average annual temperature is 18 degrees Celsius, the average temperature in summer is 22 degrees Celsius, while the average temperature in winter is 12 degrees Celsius.
