HUMAN ACCESS - Taiz Governorate Branch announces its need to employ a water and environmental sanitation consultant in a project to support the integrated response to improve basic services for the most vulnerable communities in the districts of Al-Mudhaffar, Al-Qahirah, and Broom Mayfa’, funded by YHF.

Job definition: Providing support and technical supervision to implement the project plan
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Technical evaluation and development of bills of quantities, estimated costs, engineering drawings and drawings for the works required for:
2. Prepare project tender documents for the above works.
3. Participate in the work of the technical committees charged with opening bids for project tenders for the above works, assess and analyze them technically and financially, and submit reports and recommendations on the results.
4. Participate in handing over work sites to contracted contractors.
5. Count the daily supplies of raw materials (supplies) to work sites, examine their contents, and verify their compliance with the agreed upon specifications and standards.
6. Direct field supervision and supervision of contractors’ implementation of contracted works and verify their compliance with agreed upon specifications and standards.
7. Prepare contractors’ extracts and follow up on their disbursement.
8. Submit the additional works (descriptions and quantities) proposed by him or another party (the contractor, the beneficiaries committee) and the proposed party’s justifications and his point of view on them if they were proposed by another party.
9. Participate in the work of committees examining and receiving completed works from contractors.
10. Participate with the project coordinator in carrying out monthly field visits to implementation sites and evaluate the progress achieved in implementing contractual works.
11. Submit the progress reports and periodic updates required of him on the progress achieved in implementing the contractual works, using the approved forms.
12. Electronic and office archiving of all documents and reports responsible for it and take all necessary precautions to protect them from damage.
